Old Man Winter Is On His Way

He’s like one of those pesky relatives that comes to stay a while, it’s nice at the beginning and then it just gets messy…

While the snow bunnies are rejoicing the rest of us are dreading that fluffy white stuff.  However, unless you have the luxury of migrating south this winter, you’re going to have to deal with the fact that winter is almost here. And to help you deal, we have gathered some of the winter necessities. (Unfortunately rum and eggnog were to tricky to bring in so you’ll have to search for that elsewhere).

We have the bits and pieces you need for hooking up your compressor to your irrigation system to blow it out for the winter. Leaving water in your lines will leave you with a few unpleasant surprises come next spring/summer when you turn on your sprinklers and have a small pond forming in your lawn from a cracked pipe.

Next we have ice melt. Such a lovely creation. Make sure to spread ice melt on your paths, drive ways and sidewalk infront of your house to help keep your neighbours and other passer’s-by safe while going out for a stroll. Whether it be an inch or 3 feet make sure to spread it out to be safe rather then sorry.

And of course we have shovels, lots and lots of shovels. Wide ones skinny ones long ones and short ones (Unless you have already found a nice neighbourhood kid who has offered to do it for you… Lucky) for all your snow shoveling needs.
